Drone Surveys Project Overview

Lead Structural Ltd conducted a comprehensive visual inspection of the roof at Unit M6, Airfield Business Park, on behalf of mj tool makers. The inspection involved a thorough methodology, starting with a desktop study to review historic maps and listed building records. Our team conducted thorough evaluations, encompassing both roof condition assessment and structural condition assessment, adhering to Eurocodes for structural analysis. Prior to the site visit, a location review and risk assessment were conducted to ensure safety protocols. Mission planning was undertaken for potential drone operations, adhering to aviation regulations.                                                             A multirotor drone (DJI Mavic 2 Pro) fitted with 20 megapixel camera unit was deployed and flown over the building at various heights to capture a series of images and to inspect high-level building elements with the help of qualified structural inspectors that prioritize safety and compliance with industry standards. Any areas of restricted access were carefully noted, and explanations were provided, along with recommendations for further investigations as necessary.
